August 2005 I got my belated birthday present and we went on a short city trip to London. As my parents had never been there before I kind of *worked* as a tour guide. It was fun finally being there as just a tourist and having time to see everything. It was quite a tight fit schedule for 2 days but we managed to see some of the best things in London. Of course it was a bit strange at times considering the bomb attacs that happened just shortly before we travelled there. There was a lot of police around but otherwise live went on as always. Maybe also one of the reasons I did not really feel threatened by anything when we were there.

My parents really enjoyed their trip as well and finally had some up close and personal experience with England and I think some things positivly surprised them :)

Victoria Station - my first point of interest for breakfast - just love them Cornwall Pasties
After that on to Buckingham palace and for some relaxation into St James
Wouldn't be my trip if there weren't any horses in it...

Waiting for the Royal Horse Guards - luckily not in vain

Very touristy I know but we just did everything...London Eye, Big Ben and House of Parliament ( a very interesting tour!!), Tower Bridge and Tower of London.

Tower of London was very impressive (and not just the entrance fee) On the right is the home of the Crown Juwels, I found the left to be more interesting though ...I just loved this old tower, you could touch everything and it had quite an astounding armoury.

If anyone wants to go see it...please bring me that *pegasus* from the souvenir shop :) Still regret not buying it....
